sorry its been a while since the last post
been a very busy time since opening night
iam pleased to say that customers are returning to the Dog
and are very surprised at the changes and happy to return for another visit
so we cant be doing that bad!
learning lots every day
had some real good laughs over the past few weeks.....sorry but most include some naughty words!!! so i best not tell you any LoL
We had our charity dog walk last week....4 miles! why did i say i would do it!!
no really had a great time walking the hounds from Killerby to The Dog
A huge thanks for "hairy one" Dave for sorting it out
even better when there has been a few hundred quid raised for North Air Ambulance & Sadberge Dogs Home
We have had 3 live acts here and all have recived great reviews from the customers
the restaurant is picking up very nicely now...again customers passing on great reviews of their meals.
hope its not so long before i can post again.

We`re Open

after a manic start on Friday morning
getting everything cleaned and ready to go for 12noon
spending a small fortune on stocking the kitchen!! ouch it really did hurt the bank balance!!!
12 noon arrives
and it was fantastic to open to doors once more to the public
Dave and I had great first day with many of our friends coming along to support our first day
cheers to everyone
was great to see so many "regulars" returning to the pub once more

hi all
good news we will be re-opening on Friday 21st March at 12noon
kitchen is 95% finished
resturant looks like a bomb hit it!!
todays task is to emtpy the resturant ready for the carpet cleaner coming this afternoon!!
decorating very nearly finished.
so this weekend and next week are going to be a bit manic to say the least!!
cleaning,stocking up and trying to remember all the things i need to do!!!

hello there

some more news for you all
as of Friday 22nd February Dave and I have signed papers with enterprise to become the new
landlord and landlady of The Dog Inn.
So with that news a few of the regulars come over this weekend to make a start on tiding up the outside
Steve brought a mini digger!! i dont call 3.5 tonne digger MINI!!!!
First thing Saturday morning Steve and Dave had to dig a trench for the new gas pipes ready for the new LPG gas tank
while digging the trench they found a 40ft well right next to the resturant window
so needless to say the well will be a new feature at The Dog Inn....must be a ver old well all stone built wall complete with the pump in place..sadly the pump handle wasnt there.
so a nice stone wall will be built for all to enjoy this feature.

Saturday afternoon and Steve and Dave are making excellant progress trench completed
part of the field now nice and flat with all rubbish cleared.
Then out of the blue a Spaceman arrives onsite!!! good job we knew this spaceman the good ole "hairy one" more commonily known as Dave F
Dave F brought along a friend Mick.....think we should have told him his space mask was broken!

hi guys

sorry been a while since the last post...
been busy decorating...only got finished today!!
now we need to clean carpets and seating.

the company that own the building are thinking of getting every last job done before we re-open
which means that the pub wont be open for the beginning of February
should know more by the end of next week.

will keep you all posted.
